Second Kearala legislative assembly

The second Kerala assembly was formed on 9th February 1960 by a coalition ministry under congress and PSP;
Second CM of Kerala - Pattamthanupilla (1960-1962)
The second assembly was dissolved on 9th September 1964.Pattamthanupillai was appointed as Governor of Panjab.
R. Sankar (Congress) was the third CM of kerala (1962-1964). First congress CM.
Abortive Elections of 1965
Elections were next held on 4th March 1965. The system of single and double member constituencies had been given up in 1962. A fresh delimitation of the constituencies increased their number to 133.
The 1965 elections became abortive. Once again on March 25 was invoked for the fourth time.

Third Kearala legislative assembly
EMS naboothiri ministry came in to power on 6thMarch 1967. The third assembly was dissolved on 25th June 1970.
Forth Kearala legislative assembly
C.Achuthamenon who was sworn in as chief minister in 1970 served in that position till 25th of March 1977.
